As someone enters the controlled space, the luminaire is switched to full output.
After they have left the space, and after the hold-time has elapsed, the luminaire reverts to the dimmed output.
With sufficient daylight, the luminaire will not switch on when someone enters the controlled space.
With insufficient daylight, as someone enters the controlled space, the luminaire is switched on.
After they have left the space, and after the hold-time has elapsed, the luminaire is switched off.
With sufficient daylight, the luminaire will not switch on when someone enters the controlled space.

After a further hold-time has elapsed, the luminaire is switched off.
The matrix opposite shows the various levels of control that is available by the addition of an occupancy sensor.

In addition to this, a number of our products can be equipped with a daylight sensor. This will provide a "dusk to dawn" control, allowing the luminaires to be switched on automatically in the evening and then off again in the morning.
